David holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Hons) from HELP University, Malaysia. David has also completed his PhD in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University, UK.


He has experience working with a wide range of mental health challenges including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and borderline personality disorder. He has particular expertise in working with individuals with addiction (alcohol/substance and behavioral) and has experience working as senior clinical psychologist on a multidisciplinary team providing intensive treatment for clients with severe substance use disorders within a residential setting.


David is also trained in delivering evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He adopts a client-centered, integrative approach to therapy and believes that interventions should be tailored according to the unique needs of each individual client. He is committed to being an authentic and compassionate therapist who provides clients a safe, non-judgmental space to collaboratively work through their challenges. 


Apart from his clinical work, he is also an active researcher, where his research broadly encompasses the assessment and treatment of behavioral addictions, with a focus on compulsive sexual behavior and problematic pornography use. His research has been published in leading clinical psychology and sexology academic journals.
