Deepika

Trainee Clinical Psychologist  (M. Clin. Psych, Taylors University)

Deepika is a trainee clinical psychologist studying at Taylor's University. She has experience working in a hospital setting in Mauritius where she has been exposed to a diverse range of clinical cases and opportunities for growth under the supervision of expert clinical psychologists. Through this experience, she has gained valuable skills in psychological assessment and intervention, while also learning one of the most important lessons in clinical work - the power of human relationships. For her, meaningful therapeutic connections often lie at the heart of healing and recovery.

In her practice, Deepika primarily uses Cogntive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), valuing both structure and empathy in creating a safe space for clients. At the same time, she is open to integrate other therapeutic approches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Deepika believes that therapy should be flexible and tailored to each individual, acknowledging that every person's experience is unique, so should their path toward wellbeing and growth.
